Last weekend the Speedo Canadian Open took place at the Kinsmen Sports Center in Edmonton. The meet attracted 350 of the best swimmers from across Canada. Sprocket swimmers showed up with a need for speed at the 2025 Killarney PJ Day meet. With just under 100 Sprockets in attendance, our team cheer shook the stands! Sprockets closed out the meet with 196 personal best times. All swimmers completed at least one 100m race including our Sprocket 1's, and as always it was great to watch our swimmers support each other. Special thanks goes out to all the Killarney volunteers for making the meet run so smoothly. We couldn't do it without you!

Last weekend at the Kinsmen Sports Center, Edmonton, the AB Winter Provincial Championships took place. There were over 500 swimmers at the meet. Killarney was represented by a contingent of 40 swimmers. KSC swimmers performed outstanding, posting 275 personal best times, 19 Club Records, while earning 41 medals (15 Gold)! Over the weekend, thirty-seven members of the Killarney Swim Club were in action at the NCSA Spring Invitational. The meet took place at the YMCA Seton. KSC Sprung into the swing of things posting 173 best times. Killarney swimmers picked up 13 medals including 2 event wins. Juliana Litorco took gold in the 15 & Over 100IM. It was a Record setting weekend for Killarney’s Matea Gigovic at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Westmont, IL USA. The meet attracted World Record Holders and Olympic Champions. Gigovic competing under the Team Canada Cap, had four events on the schedule. Matea’s first event was 100 Free. She advanced to the B Final finishing 16th overall. The University of Calgary Swim Club hosted the AB Winter Trials. This meet was the last chance for swimmers to qualify for the AB Championships. Swimmers could qualify by swimming to the Championship time standard or by winning an event at the AB Winter Trials. Killarney was represented by 29 swimmers. Over the past few weekends, the Killarney Swim Club turned up the waters at the Cascade WTF Swimming Series. The CASC series was a set of 3 meets. On Feb 14 and 15 CASC I, Feb 18 & 19 CASC II, and Feb 21 & 22 was CASC III. The meets were long course open level competitions to prepare swimmers for the upcoming AB Championships. The Killarney Sprockets attended the Crazy Hat Dual Meet with UCSC this Saturday and smashed the competition! Held at Foothills Pool, swimmers were not allowed to dive for the competition and spent multiple practices learning how to drop start off the edge.
