The Killarney Swim Club was in action last weekend at the newly formatted AB Winter Festivals.  The meet took place at the Kinsmen Center in Edmonton and attracted the best 12 & Under swimmers from Alberta and Eastern BC.  KSC was represented by 27 swimmers. 

The team had a fantastic weekend finishing tided for 3^rd in Medals earned.  KSC swimmers took to the podium 39 times, including 13 Gold!  Killarney swimmers posted 160 best times, and three club records were set.

Leading the way was Sophia Shpak.  Shpak earned seven individual medals, 5 of them gold!   Emily Piatek was also stellar, picking up 4 individual Golds.  Dorothy Dean won 6 individual medals with 3 Golds.  Shpak teamed up with Ena Gigovic, Posie Payette, and Elyse Jugnauth to win the 11-12 Medley Relay.

Jaiyi Li (Jaqueline) swam her first ever 200 Fly and set a NEW CLUB RECORD (10 & U category)!

In the North vs South Provincial Relays it was the South sweeping the North in all 7 events.
