KSC dominates at Hosted Invitational

On June 7, 8, & 9th the Killarney Swim Club hosted the annual Long Course Invitational.  The meet attracted over 400 swimmers from AB and BC.  The Brookfield YMCA played host for this event.

With water restrictions in place the team was incredibly thank full that the City approved this competition to continue.  For many swimmers this was their last chance to qualify for the summer Provincial Championships.

KSC swimmers took advantage of the opportunity.  The club posted 671 personal best times.  This accounted for 132 individual medals including 39 event winners.  AMAZING!!!

5 new club records were established.  In the relay events Girls 15-17 Medley Relay, Boys 15-17 Medley Relay, and Boys 13-14 Medley Relay.  Individually, Sophia Shpak set the 10 & Under 50 and 100 Breaststroke records.

Charlie Trofimuk came out with the Boy's IM Eliminator Challenge as Champion over teammate Brandon Hachey.

This weekend the club is in Lethbridge for the AB 11 & Under Festivals.
